Thoroughly enjoyed it and will good to return in the future 😀 - Everything was immaculately clean and tidy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were great with top class fixtures and fittings. The bed was very comfortable 😞 - The only issue we found, was that when we arrived, there were not any available sun chairs near the pool to relax on. The same thing happened the next morning. So maybe a few extra would be good, even if they are on the grass behind the pool

😀 - Every detail of the property is well designed and modern - a Sonos in every room playing a personalised playlist on arrival. The location is definitely remote, but we got a 5/10 min taxi into the local town for dinner which the staff organised. Every member of staff, from the security through to the restaurant are incredibly attentive and will do whatever they need to! We will definitely be returning for longer!

Este é um local de funcionamento recente, há 2 anos, mas excelente. Em instalações e natureza envolvente, nos quartos com equipamento moderno mesmo a nível de tecnologia. Piscina e espaços de lazer. Relvados imensos e jardins bem conservados. Pequeno almoço e restaurantes com bom menu oferta e confecção. Mas, são sempre as pessoas que fazem os lugares. E no Paral assim é. Os funcionários são muito profissionais, diligentes, simpáticos e muito eficazes. Faço votos que sejam assim reconhecidos e apreciados para que se continue a manter a qualidade que vivi e que recomendo vivamente.

Breakfast is generous with breads, pastries, cheeses, meats, and a gorgeous fruit selection, plus you can order à la carte on top. Lunch at the pool (pear salad, roast beef sandwich, cocktails) was fantastic. Dinner is a real event: a spontaneous, beautiful little appetiser to start, superb mains and desserts, and a wine pairing that never disappoints. As a hotelier myself, I tend to notice every little detail — and I rarely leave a hotel without finding something that could be improved. Here, for the first time in a very long time, I genuinely couldn’t find anything to criticize.

First of all, congratulations to the management and the entire team. You can feel that this place is run with passion, attention to detail, and a true understanding of hospitality. The service feels natural and genuine, and the atmosphere and energy throughout the property are something very special.

The entire estate is absolutely beautiful and the perfect place to slow down and relax. I highly recommend taking the time for a wine tasting and a tour of the winemaking facilities and the estate. Walking through the vines and discovering more about the wines and how they are produced makes the experience even more memorable.

Breakfast was outstanding, the room was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed, and even the smaller details were exceptional. The coffee from their own roastery was delicious, and their olive oil was honestly one of the best I have ever tasted.

What impressed me most is how everything comes together: the surroundings, the food, the wine, the service, the people, and above all, the atmosphere. Nothing feels forced or staged — it simply feels right.

A truly fantastic place and one of the best hospitality experiences I have had. We left completely impressed and will definitely return — next time for a longer stay.

Perfect! Quinta do Paral was the perfect place to begin our time in Portugal. After long flights, it was a beautiful and peaceful place for all of us to meet, relax, and decompress. The food and wine were spectacular, the grounds impeccable, and the service phenomenal. Most of all, the people were incredibly warm and welcoming. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start our trip!

Simpatia dos funcionarios em geral. 😞 - Tem sombreiros na zona da piscina mas os mesmo não se podem utilizar por questoes de segurança aquando vento. O restaurante do hotel tem os preços bastante inflacionados, para mim não vale o dinheiro. Foi referido que poderia efetuar check out mais tarde, porem 10 minutos depois afinal já não podia, foi desagradavel.

They manage around 22 rooms of which 3 of the high end rooms we stayed in. The service and experiences they offer are immaculate and personal connections with staff can be created. Wonderful people all around.

I had the loveliest stay at Quinta do Paral! If you're headed to Alentejo, you need to book this place. It's the perfect spot to unplug, do nothing, and love every second of it. The whole property feels so peaceful, with a gorgeous pool and grounds. There’s also a rooftop bar, a fire pit, picnic tables outside the dining area, plus a handful of cabanas tucked around the property so you can always sneak off and find your own little corner. The stars at night were amazing!

Dinner at the restaurant was awesome! fresh ingredients, great wine, and the staff were so warm and attentive.

All of the little details are what really won me over, too. Yes it's luxury, but it's also clearly invested in sustainability and the local community. Majority of the staff are from the very locally surrounding area, the room keys come in these cute little leather wallets made by a local artisan, and the art around the hotel is all vineyard scenes by a Portuguese painter.

I'll admit I went in a little worried that there wouldn't be enough to do around the hotel as I wasn’t familiar with town, but the hotel was the destination! Highly recommend to add to your itinerary if coming to this area!

Understated, luxurious oasis My wife, daughter and I stayed at Quinta do Paral for 4 nights in a signature suite and a superior room. We would recommend this hotel unreservedly for those seeking relaxed and luxurious accommodation and facilities. The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable where you get to choose your mattress type, pillow preference and music in advance of your stay! This level of attention to detail has also clearly been used across your entire experience at the hotel. As per other reviews the staff here are what really make the experience exceptional with special mention for Flávio G at the estate lounge who made our breakfasts and lunches truly memorable. He read our minds and knew what we wanted before we did and such a friendly man! Also Rita at the winery restaurant and lounge plus her colleague whose name I missed unfortunately… both so friendly and helpful about everything. Thanks also to Bruno who drove us to a hot air balloon flight very early one morning for a magical experience, again such a friendly and helpful gentleman. All of the staff were lovely and apologies to those whose names we missed. The Quinta really is a luxurious home from home and a real oasis for rest, relaxation and great food and wine in a chaotic world! The quality of food both at the lounge and the winery restaurant were exceptional. We really hope to return as soon as possible and thank you again to everyone.

A great place to stay! We just stayed at Quinta do Paral for 3 nights and it was so memorable. The property is unbelievable--the views, well kept, great design. We love to travel and time there was very relaxing--we felt pampered. Our room was very nice. Best way describe it--first class. The bed was very, very comfortable. The bath--well appointed, clean. We did a wine tasting and it was well worth it. It was very informative and the wine fantastic--we'd do it again. The food was delicious. Marta and the rest of the staff did a great job. Needless to say, I would highly recommend!

Experiência absolutamente memorável na Quinta do Paral.

O espaço é lindíssimo, cuidado ao detalhe e com aquele equilíbrio raro entre sofisticação, tranquilidade e autenticidade alentejana. Entra-se e percebe-se logo que não é apenas um restaurante, é uma experiência completa.

O vinho foi incrível. Muito bem apresentado, com identidade e perfeitamente alinhado com a refeição. A comida esteve ao mesmo nível. Começámos com uma ostra com gaspacho que foi simplesmente divinal. Fresca, elegante, surpreendente e com uma combinação de sabores muito bem conseguida. Tivemos ainda um croquete cortesia do chef, um gesto simpático e uma entrada excelente.

Nos pratos principais, o bacalhau estava no ponto, muito bem confecionado, com sabor e apresentação irrepreensíveis. O peixe com espargos também estava ótimo, leve, equilibrado e cheio de sabor.

O atendimento merece uma referência especial. O Flávio foi cinco estrelas do início ao fim: profissional, atento, simpático, conhecedor e sempre presente sem ser intrusivo. Fez diferença na experiência.

A terminar, ainda tivemos oportunidade de experimentar um licor com 35 anos. Foi, sem exagero, dos melhores que bebi na vida. Um final perfeito para uma refeição que já estava a ser excelente.

Sem dúvida 5 estrelas! Celebramos o casamento de um sobrinho com mais de 100 pessoas de 17 nacionalidades e durante 2 dias. Houve cocktailes, churrasco, pequenos almoços , jantar, a celebração do casamento e até discoteca até às 4,30 da manhã. O Alentejo já é maravilhoso.
Mas fica ainda melhor, como se fosse possível, quando nasce um lugar como este. Não preciso entrar no quesito vinhos (todos maravilhosos), na beleza natural da propriedade, na arquitetura preservada com atenção e respeito, nem no bom gosto do mobiliário e dos quartos (destaque para o Café da Quinta do Paral, moído em modernas máquinas automáticas Miéle), já extensivamente elogiados, com razão, como pode ser lido em outros reviews. Todavia, não posso deixar de repetir, assim como nos outros reviews, minha opinião sobre o alto nível do staff e a qualidade carinhosa do serviço. Impecável. Atento. Pronto. Simpático. Humano. Pessoas bem informadas, genuinamente dispostas e sorridentes, o que não deve ser fácil de conseguir numa indústria carente de boa mão de obra como a hotelaria e restauração em Portugal. Também não me permito deixar de laurear a superior qualidade do The Wine que consegue oferecer cozinha regional alentejana e autoral ao mesmo tempo, como só um grande restaurante nessa magnífica geografia conseguiria oferecer. Incrível. Por fim, deixo três registros importantes que não li em outros comentários: primeiro, um ginásio novíssimo, equipadíssimo e bem cuidado. Segundo, dez (!) outlets para carregamento de automóveis elétricos. Terceiro, um agradável rooftop com bar que oferece pores do sol espetaculares, todo santo dia. Pormenores que adicionam ainda mais valor ao todo. Resumindo, a experiência perfeita existe, e ela se chama Quinta do Paral.

My wife and I had a wonderful lunch in the restaurant last week. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and the food and service was exceptional. Although we didn't stay in the hotel on this occasion, the facilities are of a very high standard and the setting is very peaceful, beautiful and relaxing.

Melhor acesso:via sul IP2, saída "Vila de frades". A entrada para viaturas é no portão mais a sul. Após a entrada, o restaurante fica localizado na outra extremidades. O percurso interino é feito de buggy com uma breve explicação histórica do local .
Restaurante: é uma edificação mais contemporânea perfeitamente enquadrada com o edifício mais antigo, onde está o hotel rural, com todos os pormenores premium. A sala do restaurante é bem confortável e aberta para a paisagem, com destaque para as vinhas, o que proporciona um espetáculo de cores sazonais.
O menu é a perfeita simbiose da cozinha de autor e os ingredientes nativos, com destaque para o que é produzido na quinta: vinho e azeite. As sobremesas para além de reforçar a memória dos sabores, são autênticas obras de arte, com destaque para os elementos florais e sazonais. A carta de vinhos, apresenta toda uma cronologia vínica da marca, com preços ecléticos.
Os funcionários são muito atenciosos e sensíveis ao nosso conforto. A equipa da cozinha têm um conceito muito consolidado o qual contribui em muito para a linearidade gastronómica do Baixo-Alentejo. Em suma, é toda uma experiência de cores e sabores, em prole dos novos conceitos, sempre com muito respeito:.

Vom freundlichen Empfang bis zum herzlichen Abschied rundherum haben wir hier vier schöne Tage verbracht. Das Frühstück mit lokalen Zutaten wird am Tisch serviert, abends wird im Weinrestaurant gehoben und geschmacklich gut aufgekocht. Dazu die große Auswahl an Weinen direkt vom zugehörigen Weingut, dessen Besichtigung man sich nicht entgehen lassen sollte. Die Juniorsuite ist ebenerdig und mit jedem Komfort ausgestattet. Gute Kosmetikprodukte, Miele Kaffeemaschiene, guter Tee usw. Das Schlafzimmer geht leider zur wenig befahrbaren, aber dann lauten Strasse. Das Bad ist in einem verspiegelten Glaskubus untergebracht, da geht Design vor Zweckmäßigkeit, hätte ich einen quadratischen Körper, hätte ich auch in der großen Badewanne bequem baden können 🤣. Alles in allem ein luxeriöses Wohlfühl-Boutique Hotel mit nur 21 Zimmern und Suiten und sehr engagierten Mitarbeitenden. Sehr weitläufig der Park und die Aussenanlagen.

We spent two weeks in Portugal. We toured castles and major cities. Those activities were fantastic but my favorite part of the vacation was Quinta do Parcel. It is a fairly new hotel. We had a private wine tour and private dinner. We were able to jog through the vineyards. We actually just rested for three days. I would definitely go there again.

Wunderschöne Anlage, Zimmer sehr modern eingerichtet, gute bequeme Betten. Wir haben uns gewundert dass dieDeluxe Suite so klein war, das Zimmer selbst war nur 20 Quadratmeter plus ein schönes Bad und Schrank. Eine eigene Terrasse gehörte auch dazu, allerdings war die Nähe zur zentralen Klimaanlage oder Generator sehr laut, so dass man nicht so lange draußen sitzen konnte. Wir hatten uns für 15 Uhr angemeldet um den Pool zu genießen, leider mussten wir bis 16.30 Uhr warten weil das Zimmer nicht fertig war. Entschädigt wurden wir durch das hervorragende Abendessen!
Die Köche beherrschten ihr Handwerk! Bemerkenswert ist das sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal!

This is an absolute gem, and is bound to get even better over time (as vegetation grows, buildings mature). We’ve had the most relaxing time, loved the pool and our room (junior suite).
The area is also great to visit: Beja, nearby villages reachable by bike, vineyards, other quintas).
Paral is a proper five-star experience, particularly service-wise.

To celebrate my husbands 40th bday, we wanted something special and boy did we get something special! It starts by being picked up with a golfcart at the parking space, you get a little tour towards the establishment which shows all that is there. Once there, rather than going to reception for check in, you`re brought to the bar where check in is smooth & quick and you even get their own rosé.

Now, we had the junior suite, super large - beautifully decorated and everything is well maintained & super clean. Although the suite itself does not have its own terrace, you do have a gorgeous courtyard where you can hang out, looking towards the pool. When arriving to the room you get a super nice bottle of wine and little dessert.
Since it was my husbands bday, we even got a super delicious cake and their own espumante.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner - I can´t even explain how amazing everything was but I will try.
Breakfast - coffee/tea/water/juice/plentiful breads/croissants/pastries/cheeses/meats and the best fruit selection. You get that standard. Then you can also order something a la carte in addition which was amazing as well. You won´t need lunch basically :D
Lunch - we ordered a pear salad and rosbeef sandwhich at the pool, both fantastic, along with cocktails.
Dinner - They always start with the couverts that are lovely but then they bring you an appetiser spontaneously and it is always delicious and very beautiful <3 Main dishes & desserts were excellent (Pregado & Polvo first day/Duck Magret & something else that I forgot, sorry :D) and the wine pairing was fantastic.

If you get the chance, also do the wine tour - the winery is very cool & we´ve never seen so much of the wine making process. After the tour is finished, you´ll be brought back to the restaurant where you will to the wine tasting which was also an awesome & fun experience.

All staff were the loveliest people around, very helpful and always up for a chat. We can´t thank them enough for this beautiful experience and we will defo go back whenever we can, I must have said ´This is fantastic´about a million times :D

Tips:
- They have a great gym that you can use but if you are a runner you can go around the winery, very nice to do so.
- Rooftop bar, although there wasn´t anybody service there, just get some wine or cocktail to sit up there for sunset & chill.
- Buy some wine & olive oil before you leave, so worth it! Since you can only buy it either on location, on their website or very select establishments, I recommend taking those that you loved with you!

Amazing to see this young wine farm at work. Great wines, great tasting session with a shared platter to cleanse the palate included. Mariana was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Stunning location, food, service, design, and of course wine. Love this place. We will be back

We absolutely loved our stay in Quinta do Paral. The place is stunning and perfect for a restful and quiet break. The staff is so kind and always available. The rooms were beautifully decorated and clean. The food is also amazing (breakfast, lunch and dinner). We didn't really want to leave and we are for sure coming back soon. Perfect detour between Lisbon and Algarve. We stopped for lunch. Vasco, the cheff and all the staff took wonderful care of us. Everything on our table was from the estate or the region. Appreciated learning about the region and cuisine from local staff. Food, service, and grounds were exceptional. Wish we had planned to take advantage of their e-bikes or spend the night. Highly recommend.

A perfect getaway for quiet, relaxation, nature, recharging your batteries and of course, good wine. Quinta do Paral is unpretentious luxury with an outstanding team ready to make your stay memorable. The original building dating back to the 17th century is now the beautiful boutique hotel, newly opened in September 2024. The quinta grounds are peaceful and impeccably maintained with vineyard views as far as the eye can see. Our room was gorgeous (junior suite) with modern and high end comforts. We stayed two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. A big thank you to the entire team for their care and kindness.

Such a beautiful hotel set in a tranquil area, it was a pleasure to spend two nights here. The rooms are well designed and impeccably clean; luxurious towels, robes and slippers. The staff are first class, very hospitable and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. A big thank you to Filipe and his entire team. Everyone was lovely, but a massive thank you to Rafaela, who was so kind. We hope to return again soon.

We had an amazing stay at Quinta do Paral! It was a birthday surprise for my partner, and the hotel made it so special with a thoughtful card, a delicious cake, and wine waiting in our room when we arrived. They even gave us a glass of Port to finish off our dinner, which was such a lovely touch.

We got there earlier than planned because some of the wineries we’d planned to visit were closed, but it wasn’t a problem at all. The staff were so welcoming. They took care of our car, then drove us down to the hotel on a buggy. We were greeted with wine and warm hand towels in the lounge—such a great start to our stay.

Our room was gorgeous, overlooking the vineyards. It was modern, beautifully decorated, and smelled incredible. Honestly, I’ve never come across hotel toiletries that smelled that good before!

We did the Wine Lovers Tasting, which was such a treat. It started with a quick tour of the winery, followed by a premium tasting with some delicious nibbles from the restaurant. It was €90 per person, which I didn’t know when I booked, so it was a bit on the pricey side—but worth it for the quality of wines, food and the service.

Dinner at the hotel restaurant was good. Portions were slightly on the small size, but it wasn’t overpriced, the food was tasty, and even though there were only four other diners, the atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast the next morning was just as good, with a big selection of homemade jams, fresh pastries, and a hot dish to choose from.

Overall, this was one of the best hotel stays we’ve ever had. You can park up and not leave the ground for a few days, as it's so beautiful. The attention to detail, stunning grounds, and amazing rooms made it unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back!

Even the production area, from the stainless steel tanks to the bottling space, was immaculate—down to the gleaming iron staircases.

I also had the chance to meet their head winemaker, an incredibly kind and knowledgeable individual, and the hotel’s director, who exudes professionalism and elegance. Their passion for what they do is evident in every interaction and detail.

Meine Frau und ich besuchten das Wein Hotel im September 2024 im Zuge unserer Flitterwochen. Ganz spontan konnten wir das Hotel nach einer E-Mailanfrage, auf die innert kurzer Zeit reagiert wurde, buchen.
Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und mit einem Golfbuggy wurden wir durch den "Green-Tunnel" vom Parkplatz zur Hotelanlage gebracht. Der Pool und die äusserst ruhige Umgebung boten uns einen entspannten Aufenthalt, welcher durch einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang abgerundet wurde.
Das Abendessen im hoteleigenen Restaurant war ausgezeichnet und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmte. Der Wein aus den eigenen Reben, die sich rund um das Hotel erstrecken, schmeckte fabelhaft.
Die Zimmerausstattung ist modern und übertraf unsere Erwartungen. Alles war sehr gepflegt und das Personal war jederzeit sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier.

Das neue Hotel ist ein wahres Juwel, eingebettet in eine traumhafte, ruhige Lage, die perfekt zum Entspannen einlädt. Die luxuriöse Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen und schafft eine Atmosphäre, in der man die Seele baumeln lassen kann. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Herzlichkeit der Gastgeber, die jeden Gast mit außergewöhnlicher Freundlichkeit empfangen und umsorgen. Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war außergewöhnlich schön. Der Service war einfach erstklassig, und die Gastgeber waren kaum zu übertreffen. Man spürte, wie viel Mühe sich das Team gegeben hat, um unseren Besuch so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Die Anlage ist ganz neu und in einem makellosen Zustand. Alles wirkte äußerst gepflegt und einladend. Der erste Eindruck war beeindruckend und wurde nur noch von der wunderschönen Umgebung übertroffen. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die regionalen Produkte, die im Hotel angeboten werden. Die Weine waren von exzellenter Qualität, ebenso wie das hausgemachte Olivenöl. Wir fühlten uns rundum wohl und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Ein Ort, der uns in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt hat!

In einer der schönsten Regionen Europas gelegen, umgeben von Wein, Natur und der Freundlichkeit der Menschen im Alentejo, hat der Eigentümer eine wahre Oase geschaffen. Neben der einladenden Atmosphäre, der perfekten Renovierung, der fantastischen Ausstattung und dem Gefühl, "zu Hause" zu sein, zeichnet sich Quinta do Paral durch zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal aus, das Ihnen jeden Wunsch von den Augen abliest. Eine besondere Erwähnung verdient auch Flavio, der 24 Stunden am Tag für seine Gäste da zu sein scheint, nie sein Lächeln verliert und die Tage im Hotel zu einem noch größeren Erlebnis macht. Seine Kollegin Beatrize verdient ebenfalls eine Erwähnung: ihre Freundlichkeit und Hilfe sind ein Segen. Ob als Paar, in einer Gruppe oder für eine Veranstaltung, Quinta do Paral ist der ideale Ort! Die hochwertige Ausstattung der Zimmer, die hohe Qualität der Umgebung, der Service und die Gastfreundschaft garantieren, dass Ihre Tage im Hotel unvergesslich sein werden. Antes de ser um hotel a quinta do paral era de uma associação e eu estive 5 anos nessa associação nos anos 90 concretamente em 1996 e agora vendo as fotos do hotel me deu uma nostalgia enorme, aliás eu fiz a obra naquela altura de novas habilitações no átrio principal...

Absolute PERFECTION! This new boutique hotel is perfect all around. The service, facilities, views, ambiance and everything are perfect. Pedro and his staff were beyond wonderful, from welcoming us, to making sure everything was top notch. The pool is heaven. Riding the electric bikes around the vineyard was such a treat. And the wine tour was terrific with Pedro as he was super knowledgeable, kind and fun! Not a single detail was missed when they put this hotel together… even down to having iPhone in the room! On top of that, it was my wife and my anniversary and they even printed out a picture from our wedding and put it in our room with a complimentary bottle of their champagne (only one of 400 made!) to help us celebrate! Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone who is thinking about going to Europe! We hope to stay there again!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Wonderful place, and people.

We were the only ones in the tasting room. Doego did the tasting with us and was great in describing the wines as well as life in the area and portugal. I am not a Rose’ fan but theirs had body and was more substantial. The reds and whites we tasted were also great and we left with 3 bottles

We arrived at the Quinta without reservation, but as we liked to buy some boxes of wine, we were offered to taste the wines and had a very relaxing and informative chat with one of the employees. We were able to park our car with the dogs in the shade next to the shop. The wines are incredible! Not to be missed!!

Nous sommes arrivés sans réservation. Acceuil chaleureux du personnel, très sympathique d'ailleurs. Nous avons goûté 2 vins rouges; excellents. Nous sommes repartis avec une bouteille. Vaut vraiment le détour.
